The election of Donald Trump has sent ripples of uncertainty throughout the legal and regulatory communities.  It is an important time to bring together diverse environmental professionals to talk about where we go from here. On January 20, 2017, the Environmental Law Education Center is pulling together a one-dayConference on Environmental Protection: What’s Next?  The entire day will be packed with national and regional experts who will provide valuable insight and information on important legal, regulatory, scientific and technical issues. Speakers will also discuss the future of complex projects such as the Portland Harbor Superfund Site and more.
If you want to spend Inauguration Day with other environmental professionals exploring the next steps, please join us for this dynamic conference. We would love to see you there.

2017-2018 Budget Process (Public Meetings)

WHERE DOES THE MONEY GO?

This year, Portland Parks & Recreation is being asked to submit 5% reductions packages (which amount to just over $3 million) from our General Fund budget. Two meetings have been scheduled to give you an opportunity to provide feedback on our budget priorities.

MEETING 1 – What is important to you, your neighbors, and the City?

Guess what? The North Portland Tool Library has received a generous offer of a matching grant for $2,800 to help complete the beautiful Tool Library Annex! Currently, the Annex walls are up and the roof is on. We’re asking you, our loyal NPTL members, to help us match that $2,800 to get the Annex fully completed and functional. 
Your donation options abound! 
  1.   You can donate via our PayPal page (click the donate button below)
  2. You can opt for the low-tech, personal touch and bring in a check or cash during tool library open hours (Saturdays from 9am – 2pm, and Tuesdays from 5pm – 7:30pm)
