Annual ECNA cleanup 2016

CLEAN UP FOR SPRING

East Columbia Neighborhood

Saturday May 14, 2016 9a.m. – 1:30p.m.

Drop Off Site: Minit mart Parking lot, NE 6th & Faloma St (at Marine Drive)

We need volunteers to help with dumpsters, pick up litter throughout the neighborhood & Greeters: Please contact Carolyn May denesemay@msn.com or 503-998-2462

Our Joint efforts will have on-site opportunities to recycle & reuse these items:

  • City Recycle will collect electronics, TV’s, PC’s, printers, any item with a cord

  • We’ll collect Scrap metal for Recycling

  • We’ll collect Tires for Recycling, on & off rim

  • We’ll collect clothing donations for Portland’s Rescue Mission – Shepherd’s door (men, women, children’s clothing , all sizes – toiletries, books & games

  • If you have clean, useable furniture & basic household items such as, dressers, dishes, kitchen tables & chairs, pots & pans, Silverware, twin mattresses, etc. that you would like to donate to families in need, you can drop them off at Community Warehouse 3969 NE MLK BLVD, 97212 Mon-Fri, 10am – 4pm and Sat-Sun, 10:30am – 4pm 503-235-8786, for a full list of accepted items please visit communitywarehouse.org.  See their flyer here.

For the dumpsters:

No, hazardous waste, construction remodeling or demolition materials, Kitchen garbage, yard debris and trimmings; and waste and recyclables collected curbside (see PDF)

Yes, General waste, unusable/ broken furniture, tires

 

 

Suggested Donations

$5 car load

$10 standard pickup/SUV

$15 large pickup/SUV

$3 tires off rim, $4 with rims
