City Council work sessions on draft 2035 Comprehensive Plan underway
After three months of public hearings, City Council is working through Comprehensive Plan topics and discussing amendments to the Plan in work sessions through March 1. Commissioners will then vote on amendments and findings before voting to adopt in June. 

 
 
Mixed Use Zones Project Proposed Draft coming soon
The Mixed Use Zones Proposed Draft will now be released in March, and a public hearing  with Planning and Sustainability Commission is scheduled for May 10.

 
 
Public hearings on new Comp Plan held throughout the city 
Between November 2015 and January 2016, City Council held five public hearings on the draft 2035 Plan around the city, giving hundreds of Portlanders a chance to testify on the draft 2035 Comprehensive Plan goals, policies and land use map.

Public testimony on the Comprehensive Plan Recommended Draft is now online. Portlanders can now view more than 2,200 pieces of written and oral testimony to City Council on the new long-range plan for Portland’s growth and development.

 
 
Council considers medium-cargo forecast for new Comprehensive Plan; revised EOA in the works
At Council’s direction, the Bureau of Planning and Sustainability is now preparing a revised Economic Opportunities Analysis (EOA) based on a “medium-cargo forecast.” Private investment to expand Portland Harbor’s capacity makes the increased forecast (from low to medium) feasible.

 
 
Take the Metro Regional Transportation Plan survey
The Regional Transportation Plan (RTP) identifies investments in roads, sidewalks, bikeways, transit and freight routes to support healthy, equitable communities and a strong economy. Metro is starting the 2018 RTP update with an exploration of the key transportation trends and challenges affecting travel in the region. Residents can learn more and share their priorities for the region’s transportation system. Take the online survey by Feburay 16 to tell Metro what you think.
