Friends of Trees, Portland OIC, and Portland Parks & Rec are having a work party on Saturday May 16th from 9am to 12 noon at Columbia Children’s Arboretum.

We will be mulching the plants that were planted this past January as well as completing some additional cutting of blackberry and other invasive species that are around the moat area that FOT, POIC, and PP&R have been working at for the past 3 years.

• WHERE: Columbia Children’s Arboretum – 10040 NE 6th Dr Portland, OR 97211 — look for the Friends of Trees signs as you arrive!
• WHEN: next Saturday, May 16th — please meet by 8:45am at the staging site listed above. Activities will wrap up by 12pm.
• WHAT: Please dress appropriately for the weather and wear sturdy shoes or boots. Friends of Trees will provide gloves, tools, and guidance, as well as light breakfast snacks.
