New Airport Way interchange

Join us to learn about upcoming construction on the I-205/Airport Way interchange:

Tuesday, January 29th from 4:30-6:30 p.m.

Residence Inn Portland Airport

9301 NE Cascades Parkway

At the Mt Hood Avenue MAX stop

Construction will begin this spring on the Interstate 205/Airport Way interchange project. Currently, drivers trying to get on northbound I-205 from Airport Way can experience delays of up to 45 minutes during peak travel times. With more than 10,000 workers depending on Airport Way for daily commutes, deliveries, and getting to and from the airport, improvements are necessary to reduce traffic congestion and delays in the area.

A major feature of the project will be a new free-flowing right-turn ramp from westbound Airport Way to northbound I-205. Eastbound drivers turning left onto northbound I-205 will have two turn lanes and will no longer have to share the traffic signal with westbound drivers heading for northbound I-205.
