Citizens’ State of the Union

These chaotic and disruptive last several days, I believe, only further underscore the dysfunction of a government led by 45.

I will not attend Trump’s state of the union address to Congress. Rather than listening to another destructive and divisive speech, I want to hear from you.

I’m hosting a “Citizens’ State of the Union” in Portland to provide a platform for my constituents, like you, to share their thoughts. This is YOUR time. I won’t be providing detailed assessments about what is or isn’t happening in Congress. I’ll be listening to YOU.

Please consider attending to share your thoughts with me in person. We will get through as many constituent comments as time allows.

WHAT: Citizens’ State of the Union

WHEN: Tuesday, January 30, 4:30-6:00pm, doors open at 4:00pm

WHERE: Jefferson High School, Auditorium, 5210 N. Kerby Avenue, Portland, OR

RSVP: Time to speak will be limited. RSVP here to let us know to expect you.

TRANSPORTATION AND PARKING:
Please consider taking public transit, walking, or biking—as parking will be limited. Bicycle parking is available on the Kerby side of the school, adjacent to the staff parking lot. The staff parking lot includes designated ADA spots. ADA entry is available at the main entrance of the school.

I hope to see you on January 30.

Onward,
Congressman Earl Blumenauer
