Drainage District landowners should have received a letter from BES informing them the date for a hearing before City Council regarding the proposal to increase stormwater fees for drainage district landowners has been moved to Sept 5th, at 3pm. It is extremely important that East Columbia landowners voice their concerns to City Commissioners before this hearing and do it as soon as possible.

Multnomah County Drainage District #1 (MCDD) is under contract with Peninsula Drainage District 2 (PD2) to maintain the levees and drainage systems within the district as approved by the PD2 annual budget.

This week all residents/landowners of East Columbia neighborhood should have received a letter from the City’s Bureau of Environmental Services notifying them of a substantial increase to our stormwater fees.
