Oregon Solutions Update
The first Oregon Solutions meeting was held on December 10, 2013, at the MCDD offices.  There was a great turnout of official participants and community, business and government representatives.  To access a summary of the meeting or any materials passed out at the meeting visit the Oregon Solutions website.
MCDD in the Field
In the coming months, MCDD staff and contractors will be investigating the levee systems in PEN #1 and #2 to see how the systems currently measure up to FEMA’s Accreditation standards.

This work will involve drilling into the levee and nearby land to learn about conditions underground that are not visible from the surface. More information on this work, including locations of drilling sites, will be shared at the January public meeting and on the MCDD website under Levee Accreditation Project Updates.

Multnomah County Drainage District provides flood protection and stormwater management for the Columbia River Corridor.  MCDD manages Peninsula Drainage District #1 (PEN 1), Peninsula Drainage District #2 (PEN 2) and Sandy Drainage Improvement Company (SDIC).
