TriMet service improvement

Now Arriving: Better Service!

Over the next month, we’re making some big changes to transit service in the Portland area!

From the highly-anticipated opening of the MAX Orange Line and Tilikum Crossing to more frequent bus service on Sundays, we’re investing in more and better service to make your trips on transiteasier and more convenient.

Here are the highlights:

August 30 – We’re adjusting schedules for MAX Blue, Green, Red and Yellow lines to complement forthcoming MAX Orange Line service.

September 12 – We’re having a Grand Opening celebration for the MAX Orange Line! You’ll find events and activities at most of the new stations, and all TriMet service along with Portland Streetcar and the Portland Aerial Tram will be FREE all day!

September 13 – We’re restoring 15-minute service to Frequent Service bus lines on Sundays, meaning Frequent Service buses will run every 15 minutes or better most of the day, every day.

Other bus lines will see improvements in frequency or earlier/later service, and some routes will change to make better connections and match traffic conditions.

Be sure to check the new schedules to see how your trips will be affected!

Blue Heron Ludwigia pull

We are BAAAAAAAACK! Time to get our boots on and head back outside!

The Blue Heron Wetlands are almost DRY! At this time last year there was roughly 2 feet of water… now there is 6 inches. The Donut Hole Pond dried up 7 weeks early this year…. Climate Change? Probably!
Either way, come see a unique cool system that is undergoing unbelievable change. These wetlands won’t look like they do forever. The wetlands is so dry that we can actually pull Ludwigia in an area that was underwater until August of last year. Please join us in our first volunteer event of the season.
Since it will be hot, expect a relaxing, short day! You will earn your sandwich and coke faster than ever before.
We will meet at 10am sharp on Saturday, June 27th at the NE 17th and Blue Heron Drive Swale.
IF YOU LIVE IN THE EAST COLUMBIA NEIGHBORHOOD PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD!
