| Environmental Services Rate Study On Wednesday, June 14th, the City of Portland’s Bureau of Environmental Services (BES) will hold an informational discussion about rate updates, focused on customers located in the Drainage Districts. A staff representative from the Drainage Districts will be there to speak to the complementary, but separate, services we provide to keep people and property safe from flooding. Please see below for more information about the discussion on Wednesday, June 14th. Join us for a community conversation about Environmental Services and how we charge sewer and stormwater rates to deliver essential services Environmental Services sets sewer and stormwater rates based on the cost of providing sewer and stormwater services, which are essential for protecting public health and the environment.
